Site Information
From the A465 (Heads of the Valleys Road) take the A470 (from the west) or the A4060 and then the A470 (from the east), then the A458 via Pontypridd. Follow the brown signs. A Sprinter Train service runs every half hour from Cardiff Central to Trehafod (home of the Rhondda Heritage Park) and the journey takes just 29 minutes. Stagecoach Rhondda service 132 leaves Cardiff Bus Station stand A2 at 20 minutes to & 10 minutes past every hour from 8.40 am until 5.40 pm (Mon - Sat) and the journey takes just under 1 hour. The Park is on the National Cycle Network, 4km/2.5 miles from Pontypridd town centre using the section from Pontypridd to Porth. (More information on the Network from 0800 243 731). Open daily except Christmas day to New Year's Day and Mondays from October to Easter. 10.00 am to 6.00 pm (last tour 4.30 pm). Energy Zone opens daily from Easter until the end of September. Play is supervised throughout all school holidays and weekends. Admission Energy Zone: Adults & Senior Citizens Free, Children £2.05, Mini Miner £1.55. Reductions for parties
of 10 or more (10%). Full disabled access to all areas - even underground. Educational service
linked to the National Curriculum, supported by Teachers packs (available
